Forgive me while I wax geeky and continue to go on about values. I promise to find something new to discuss next week. We went to Boston last week and values, and the misguided values I received from my family, have been on my mind. I am doing my best not to (unfairly?) categorize my [...]

It had its downside, but for the most part… (rated 4 stars)
November 21st, 2008 · View Comments
Into the Wild by Sean Penn This was a beautiful movie. I was amazed that, contrary to reviews I’d read and heard, I ended up really disliking the subject. He misinterpreted so much great reading! But watching someone make these mistakes and seeing the grief of family and friends really hit a nerve and turned [...]

The Wiki-ing of Reality
July 18th, 2007 · View Comments
I love the idea of Wikipedia. I trust, perhaps at my own peril, the basic goodness, intelligence and truthfulness of people as a mass. Sure, there are people out there who want to mess with things (*cough* Colbert), but there are too many people out there who care to see things done right. This weekend [...]

The iPod is Dead; Long live the iPod
January 11th, 2007 · View Comments
Terrence (my 40GB iPod photo) is in the iPod hospital. I was supposed to hear from them yesterday, but still haven’t. Called today, but no answer. Supposedly they’ll be sending me a new iPod if the battery fails the diagnostic. Which makes me sad. I love my iPod, more than I should. It’s silly to [...]

I got home today and found two family holiday cards in the mail. I love holiday cards! Only they weren’t REALLY Christmas cards. They were those silly picture cards. I’m sorry if you’re sending those. I’m glad to get them. But I miss when a holiday photo card meant having a real card with a [...]

Annoyances through out today.

Ick. How is it my first Monday back is, in fact, a Monday. Like, it would have been perfect if some blond little twerp in a ChaChi’s uniform came up to me and, with that awful grin, said, “Looks like someone’s got a case of the Mondays.” Okay, it wasn’t that bad, it’s just a [...]

Yesterday I ran into a guy I sort of half dated at BU, Chris (not Milo Milo). He’s one of those all-time really great guys that you just like immediately, and he was a sort of teacher’s assistant in my speech class. He looks a little like Clark, the guy who’d been running for president [...]

I’ve been so busy, I didn’t even know. For those of you who haven’t seen it, Kicking and Screaming (sans Will Ferrell) is the greatest movie in the world.

Metafilter recently posted about a short done by Pes, called RoofS*x (stupid spambots). While I loved that, I took a break this afternoon and watched some of the other shorts. Go watch KaBoom! and The Making of KaBoom! Because I said so, that’s why. Maybe I’m one of very few people who played this way [...]

Quicktime taken down…hadn’t been thinking about how large it was…sometimes I’m dumb. This is my last project for my Interactive Media Class. It needs some clean-up, and it’s rather large, so it may take awhile…still, I find it fun. The music is by Cat Power and is the song Colors and the Kids. The only [...]

My Interactive Media teacher has a thick accent. She can’t say “bracket.” So she says “curly breast” fairly often in the course of teaching us Flash.

2005: Books, Movies, and Music List
January 5th, 2006 · View Comments
Thought the best way to do this would be to create a list first, to let you know what I saw, read and heard, and where I ate in 2005. Then later, tell you what I thought, as I’ve the time. Jay’s book thing will most likely be great, but I don’t think it’ll work [...]

If orkut isn’t available for me, my gmail account should not tell me to “try it out.” It’s just cruel. Although, after reading all of the problems it has I’m sure I don’t want to.

Boo Will Ferrell! Boo!!!
May 3rd, 2005 · View Comments
I’m really upset that Kicking and Screaming, with Will Ferrell, is named Kicking and Screaming. It’s going to make it more difficult to talk about my favorite movie, Kicking and Screaming, which is unfortunate, as it’s already rather obscure.

What Is Evil?
November 24th, 2004 · View Comments
So I got extra credit for a paper I wrote and my teacher started asking about where I learned to write. She really liked the paper, so I thought I’d share. I don’t think it’s the best I’ve ever written, but I meant it all, soooo… Does Evil Exist? Before leaving the Holocaust Museum, we [...]
