Damnable IE

Ick. I didn’t realize this site doesn’t work in IE. I’ve never even looked at it. Hmmmm…do I care? Shouldn’t everyone be using Firefox?

Yeah, I suppose I do. I’ll look into it later.

Maybe.

    You might want to try Dean Edwards IE standards compliance javascript library.

    I see you fine in IE. :D

    Yeah, but I don’t actually code the javascript, I just use hat wordpress provides. It seems to be the CSS which isn’t showing correctly. Maybe I’m wrong, but it’s the sidebar that seems to be the real problem. Do you know how to fix that?I just haven’t felt like looking at it.

    The thing I pointed you to doesn’t require you to do anything but include the file in your header and then IE will behave like a working browser. No javascript for you to write, just some html in insert.

    Should take about 5-10 minutes.

    Re-reading your reply made me re-reply:

    Dean’s patch replaces the faulty parts of IE’s CSS and HTML engine. It doesn’t fix javascript:

    IE7 is a JavaScript library to make IE behave like a standards-compliant browser. It fixes many CSS issues and makes transparent PNG work correctly under IE5 and IE6

    Thank you. That made alot of sense. I also happen to love you for rereading my reply so that you got the answer to my question. So few people bother;

    Have you read Peace Is Every Step? I think you’d like it.

    You’re welcome. I’m glad I was able to explain it better.

    I haven’t read that, but I’ll keep an eye out for it.
