Are you ready for some…commercials?!

I’m so excited! I’m also very jealous that Chris over at Rude Cactus can TiVo his way through the football parts of the game. I should be happy that the Patriots are in it, but I really couldn’t care less. Perhaps if I were home I’d care and actually be watching the game with my brother and father.

I wonder what percentage of the viewership for today will be like the Communications floor I lived on at college, where we sat in the triple cheering the commercials and racing to the bathroom, down to the cafeteria, and generally just talking through the non-commercials parts. I miss being surrounded by people with my priorities.

Be sure to tell me which your favorite commercial was in the comments!

    Okay, 1. Simpsons/Mastercard, 2. Donkey/Budweiser, 3. the Mob/Staples. And Monster had a pretty good one with I Dig You.

And the AOL ads were really great, but that may be sentimental, as I watched that show with my Dad on the day after Christmas in the hospital.

I’ll be honest with ya…I didn’t really think that the commercials were all that good this year. Sure, some of the beer commercials were funny and I did like the Simpsons ad but otherwise, they didn’t live up to the hype.

Yeah, I agree, but they were still better than last year.

And, to tell the truth, I would have not seen ANY of the good ones if only to avoid seeing the stupid Cedric the Entertainer ad with that awful horse.

Completely agree with you there. Most of them were just plain stupid. Tom Shales had an interesting (although rather prude) take on it in yesterday’s Post.
